FLF's CEO, Kate Rogers, participated in a pre-ESMO symposium hosted by IQVIA Institute in Madrid

FLF’s CEO, Kate Rogers, participated in the pre-ESMO symposium hosted by the IQVIA Institute in Madrid on Friday 20th October 2023.

The panel addressed the crucial topic of “Accelerating the Impact of the Cancer Mission Five-Fold: Where Europe should invest to improve cancer outcomes in 10 years instead of 50,” moderated by IQVIA Institutes Executive Director Murray Aiken.

Kate brought the essential patient perspective, highlighting how surveys confirm that quality of life is a critical factor for patients, and data could be transformative for patient outcomes. Kate emphasised that: “significantly reducing data access barriers now can achieve substantial improvement in quality-of-life.”

She explained how access to and analysis of Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) at scale and pace, across disease cohorts, could rapidly transform outcomes for patients in Europe.

We’re immensely proud to have Kate represent the FLF at these vital symposiums, where she shares her insights as a leader of a progressive and transformative charity.
