Our very first webinar series has become one of the Follicular Lymphoma Foundation’s most trusted resources. Built on the voices of patients, guided by expert insight, and shaped by ongoing feedback, here’s how the program continues to grow, with your help.
When the FLF first launched its webinar series, the goal was simple: to create a space for accessible, trusted information shaped by the people it matters to most. The FLF’s Webinar Series 1 has gone from strength to strength – consisting of 6 webinars and attracting over 15,500 total views. This success is thanks in no small part to the passionate, engaged community behind them.
At the heart of every session is our commitment to co-creation. Each topic is selected based on what people living with follicular lymphoma tell us they need. Whether through our annual surveys, the invaluable insights of our Super Supporters group, or open calls for votes on potential subjects, our approach is guided by lived experience. We want to ensure that the content we produce speaks directly to the priorities of patients and those who care for them.
Dr Julie Dodds, Director of Clinical Research and Patient Programmes at FLF, explains:
The community is at the heart of everything we do. These webinars work because they are built on real patient voices, from the topics we cover to the questions asked live on the day. We’re so proud to see how the series has become a trusted resource, shaped by and for the people it serves.
Equally, we know that expert input is essential. We are grateful for the world-class researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals who give their time to join our panels. Their professional insight is critical to translating complex science into knowledge that empowers. In parallel, we are proud to shine a spotlight on the most powerful voices coming from those with direct experience of follicular lymphoma. That is why every single webinar has featured someone affected by the disease. We are constantly humbled by how many people are willing to speak openly about their diagnosis, their treatment and their ongoing journeys. These personal accounts bring depth, connection and relatability that no clinical presentation can replace.
Live interaction also plays a vital role. The questions that pour into the chat box during each session speak volumes about the engagement and curiosity of our community. They show us, time and again, which topics really matter, which also helps to shape follow-up content and future webinar ideas. Whether it is a practical concern about treatment side effects or a deeper question about the future of personalized medicine, every contribution helps us tailor what we do.
We take all feedback seriously. After every webinar, we read each response, review every rating and reflect on what we could do better. This is a continuous process of learning and refining. We know that trust must be earned, and we aim to keep earning it through transparency, relevance and responsiveness.
Ultimately, the webinar series is just one part of our broader mission. We want to improve the resources available to those affected by follicular lymphoma. We want to be a source of reliable, timely and patient-centered information. We also want to be a space where people feel heard, supported and understood.
If you have attended a webinar, sent us a comment, voted on a topic or taken part in a session, thank you. Your involvement helps ensure that the work we do remains grounded in the real experiences of those living with follicular lymphoma. We welcome your continued feedback and ideas, and we are always looking for new ways to involve the community.
Together, we’ll continue shaping these webinars to be more relevant, more impactful, and more valuable to the community. Because together, we are stronger.
