Treatment of follicular lymphoma: First line and beyond
Dr Zelenetz discusses the current treatment options for follicular lymphoma. He highlights the significant improvement in patient outcomes due to the introduction of immunotherapy. Further discussing the identification of high-risk patients through PET scans and the impact of histologic transformation. Treatment approaches for limited-stage and low-tumour-burden patients are also considered, including radiation therapy and observation. Dr Zelenetz concludes by emphasising the challenges in understanding the different phases of follicular lymphoma and identifying patients who are cured.
