On Thursday 13 November, supporters, partners and friends of the Follicular Lymphoma Foundation came together at our annual Unlock the Cure Gala. The evening was a powerful reminder of what is possible when science, community and generosity unite behind one mission, to cure follicular lymphoma as fast as possible.
A Year Marked by Momentum
This past year has seen meaningful progress across our scientific portfolio. We are funding research that uncovers why relapse happens, advancing biomarker projects that will shape personalised care and supporting work that reprograms cancer cells and their surrounding environment. Our ambition remains clear, to accelerate discovery into real treatments for patients who cannot wait.
Guest speaker Nicky Greenhalgh, founder of Living with Follicular Lymphoma, spoke openly about life with a disease that is not yet curable. She reflected on the waiting that comes after treatment and the uncertainty no family should ever have to carry. Her message was also one of strength and connection, recognising the global community she has brought together and the thousands who no longer feel alone because of it.
Her words grounded the evening in what matters most. The people living with follicular lymphoma today who cannot wait for change.

Funds raised at this year’s Gala will directly accelerate the next phase of our scientific programme. Our priority areas include:

The emotional thread of the evening reflected the journey of the Foundation. Empathy for those living with the disease today. Urgency to move faster. Hope grounded in real scientific progress. Action that belongs to every supporter who stands with us.
We are deeply thankful to the organisations whose generosity made the evening possible, including: DMG Media (our Key Presenting Sponsor), T&P, News UK, Diageo, Universal Music, Coolr, and LetterOne (Platinum Sponsors) and Blenheim Chalcot Management, Goldman Sachs, and Ladbible (Gold Sponsors). Thank you to all our table hosts, in kind supporters and those who donated auction prizes or gave in lieu of attending. Your partnership strengthens our ability to fund bold science at speed. Â
Thank you to Tania Bryer OBE for hosting the evening with such generosity and warmth, and to Kerry Ellis for a truly wonderful performance that lifted the room and ended the night on an unforgettable high.
To everyone who supported the Gala in any way, thank you for your generosity, compassion and belief in what is possible. Your support is not just funding research. It is giving people living with follicular lymphoma something priceless, the hope of a different future.
The work continues today.
If you would like to be part of our future events, please reach out to us at info@theflf.org. Together, we can continue making a significant difference for patients and families facing follicular lymphoma.
